Karibu — Welcome to Zuri
Your offline Socratic revision companion — built to help you master everything you've already learned in a subject, at every grade behind you in your KICD tier, as you get ready to move up: KPSEA (Grades 1–6), Junior School (Grades 7–9), or Senior School (Grades 10–12). No name, no school, no phone number is ever collected from learners. Teachers register separately to supply CBC session reference resources.

About this app. Msomi Smart Zuri is a separate, premium subscription-supported revision tool — it is not the in-school Zuri curriculum delivery program being piloted with KICD and NCCK. Subscription revenue here helps fund free access to that in-school program for remote and underserved communities.
Before you begin
Every learner, hub facilitator, and teacher on Msomi Smart pays into the same subscription pool — but each pays a different amount, for a different thing. A short, required briefing explains what you're paying for and exactly where that money goes.
Which KICD tier are you in?
This locks the correct national subject list and syllabus context.
Which grade?
Nothing here identifies you personally — only an anonymous device ID is generated.
Request sponsorship
If your family cannot afford this right now, a recognised community leader — a pastor, assistant chief, teacher, or DEGI facilitator — can vouch for you directly on this device. No name, photo, or other identifying detail about you is ever sent anywhere — only this device's own anonymous ID, which is already used for everything else in this app.
Please don't include your name or other identifying details — just describe the circumstance itself. A community leader will review this with you before confirming it.
For the community leader
If you are the pastor, assistant chief, teacher, or DEGI facilitator vouching for this learner, please review the details below, then enter your own private code to confirm.

Content packs
Every published (subject, grade) revision pack in your tier, in one place — useful for installing several at once, e.g. loading a shared family or classroom device ahead of time. Each pack is a small file (a few KB) shared to you directly — pick it here once you have it.
Your offline profile
Anonymous device ID
Reset device (testing only)
Wipes local state and re-runs enrollment. Use only for engineering tests.
Credentials are hashed (salted SHA-256) and stored only in this device's local storage — nothing leaves the phone. This satisfies interim teacher credentialing while offline; sync to the central registry happens next time the device is online.
Welcome
Access boundary: this account can upload reference resources and view the telemetry below. It cannot open Zuri's tutor to run a session itself — the only way to see Zuri actually tutor is to watch a learner use their own screen in person.
Upload a CBC session learning resource
Paste the reference text for a specific topic AND grade below (notes, KICD design excerpts, marking scheme language). Zuri extracts key vocabulary from it and uses it, alongside the built-in KICD-verified node bank, to assess learner responses more precisely at that grade level.

Pack distribution
Requires a separate KES / -day distribution subscription — independent of any learner's billing. You can preview any pack's full content here before distributing it; previewing never activates or binds it. Distributing hands a learner a sealed file that only unlocks on their device.
This is a separate distribution account from your local sign-in above — it lives on the server, since multiple devices need to share the same pack store. You can reuse the same email and password if you like, or use different ones.
Telemetry — this device's session history
Read-only. Shows every tutoring-node session completed or interrupted on this device, whichever learner ran it — this device does not identify individual learners by name.
